Instant Mobility Stakeholder Workshop in Rome – First Announcement
Instant Mobility project will arrange a Stakeholder Workshop on 20th March 2012 in Rome. This workshop aims to verify with key actors and stakeholders that these systems and solutions would really meet users’ requirements. It will also present Future Internet features and capabilities relevant for mobility of people and goods, and will explore potential business models for Future Internet-enabled services. Finally, the floor will be open to potential participants in a second phase of the FI PPP programme, where a number of cities will be selected to host a pilot implementation of Instant Mobility scenarios.

Report on ERTICO Forum on ITS for Urban Mobility December 1st 2011
ERTICO, the network of Intelligent Transport Systems and Services stakeholders in Europe, hosted a forum on ITS for Urban Mobility at Le Châtelain Boutique Hotel in Brussels on December 1st 2011. The forum brought together representatives of public authorities, cities, infrastructure operators, ITS companies and others to discuss the needs of cities and how these needs could be fulfilled by ITS solutions. The issues of ITS deployment and existing success stories were also examined through actual experiences in the region Brussels-Capital, in Vienna and in Rotterdam.

Instant Mobility Special Session at ITS World Congress in Orlando
The Instant Mobility project organised a successful special session during the recent World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems & Services in Orlando (16-20 October 2011), on the theme of “Future Internet for ITS”. A capacity audience in Special Session 42 heard a wide-ranging presentation of the potential advantages offered by Future Internet technologies when applied for travellers, transport system operators and users and for traffic management.
